experienceengineering Lou Carbone coined the term customer experience and, apart from being a really nice and approachable guy (I had the opportunity of meeting him in person in London), he is also author of ‘Clued In - How to keep customers coming back again and again’.

Shaun Smith & Co. Shaun has been disseminating customer experience concepts in the UK and is author of two books in the subject: Managing Customer Experiences and Uncommon Practice – both by FT Prentice Hall. Worth checking out!

Semiotics for Beginners This website by Daniel Chandler (University of Wales, Aberystwyth) is a good portal to the subject and includes the definition of semiotics, its strengths and weaknesses, references, suggested reading, glossary of key terms, etc.

Semiotic Analysis of Images This website, from the University of Newcastle (Australia), provides a good list of sites related to the semiotic analysis of images.
